Starting with advertising sales in London in 1998, Tak worked for Progressive Media Group, heading up sales teams across print, digital and events. In 2006 he founded Analysts in Media in New York, which he sold to a venture capitalist in 2009. Since then, he has been based in Hong Kong, working as publisher of Elite Traveler Asia and subsequently General Manager of Edipresse HK, responsible for regional and international sales teams across print, digital and events divisions. He has delivered revenue on titles such as Conde Nast Traveler China, Robb Report, Elite Traveler, Tatler Asia and Ritz Carlton Magazine, among others. Tak is the founder of Nexus Media, based in Asia Pacific with offices in Hong Kong and an international network of offices.
An Asian media veteran, Barrie has lived and worked in Hong Kong, Singapore, Manila and Shanghai since 1982. Barrie led Edipresse Asia as Chairman and CEO from 2004 until 2015. During that time, he drove the acquisition of Tatler magazine and subsequently oversaw Edipresse’s successful expansion into digital, events and contract publishing. Prior to Edipresse, Barrie was CEO of Publicitas Asia. While there he led the acquisition of Emphasis, at that time Asia’s largest contract publisher specialising in in-flight media, in particular the inflight magazines and entertainment for Cathay Pacific, Dragon Air, Thai Airways, China Airlines, Air India and more.

Fenny is a senior finance professional and brings a wealth of professional experience to the Nexus team. In addition to Hong Kong, Fenny has worked for multi-national corporations in China, Canada and Australia. Prior to joining Nexus, she had been working in the media industry for over 15 years as the CFO of Publicitas Asia, overseeing all aspects of the financial operation for the media representation and publishing businesses for the whole of Asia.
Born in Hong Kong and speaking three languages, Karen comes to Nexus Media with 15 years’ advertising sales experience across the Asian region. For 10 of her ad sales years, she was the Regional Director of Sales at Mediaworks Asia – selling print and digital space for some of the world’s leading magazines including: Centurion and Departures magazines of American Express, Conde Nast Traveller, DestinAsian and Robb Report magazines.

Born in Hong Kong, Mimi has over 23 years of media representative industry experience, specialising in sales support. She has worked in telephone advertising sales for The Guardian, The Observer, The Australian newspapers, and, while working for American Express, was responsible for the complex pagination of the quarterly-published Centurion and Departures magazines.
